Michael Aegbuniwe focuses his practice on family law and criminal defense. He is a court-appointed Public Defender conflict counsel for the Courts of Common Pleas in Dauphin and Franklin counties. Michael volunteers as a Pro Bono attorney through the Cumberland County Bar Association.
A former intern with the York County Public Defender's Office, Michael also interned with the Public Utility Commission where he assisted attorneys in preparing for investigations and in taking legal actions against public utilities for possible violations of the Public Utility Code or the Public Utility Commission's regulations.
Michael is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He earned his Juris Doctor at the Widener Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, where he was treasurer for Widener’s Black Law Student Association, on the staff of Widener’s Law Journal of Race and Economics and was an academic success tutor. Michael lives in York and when he isn’t devoting time to criminal defense and family law, enjoys listening to music podcasts and watching the newest comic book movies.
