Shannon N. Costa
Senior Associate

Shannon N. Costa focuses her practice on family law and criminal defense. She represents clients in divorce and custody, and Children and Youth Services matters, as well as clients facing criminal charges. Shannon is also appointed by the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas as conflict counsel.

Shannon is a graduate of Widener University Commonwealth Law School, from which she graduated first in her division and summa cum laude, with a certificate in Trial Advocacy. She received the Dean’s Award, the Legal Research and Writing Award, the Outstanding Service Award, and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers.

While in law school, Shannon interned for then-Chief Judge John E. Jones III and the Honorable Judge Martin C. Carlson of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Shannon is also a graduate of Susquehanna University, from which she graduated summa cum laude, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and The Law. As an undergraduate, she was an intern for two years for President Judge Michael T. Hudock in the 17th Judicial District of Pennsylvania.

Shannon is from Halifax, lives in Carlisle and, when she isn’t working, enjoys traveling, outdoor adventures, and spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs — Theodore and Grizzly.
